Strawberry Banana Ice Cream
This Strawberry Banana Ice Cream recipe was created by a failed smoothie recipe that I threw into the freezer and ate 2 hours later. My kids found the frozen treat and dug in before I could warn them but it was amazing.
I absolutely love it when materials from a failed project can be used again on another project. In this situation, terrible smoothie, delicious ice cream or would it be a sorbet?
This recipe is super easy to make, basically you freeze cut up banana and strawberries, then blend them together with your favorite milk and freeze for 1 to 3 hour until desired texture. So good.

Step by Step Instructions:
How to Make Strawberry Banana Ice Cream
First, gather all of the ingredients.

Then, Cut up the fruit to desired size. I found that cutting them smaller makes it easier for my blender later on, also it freezes faster if your in a rush.

After that, put fruit in container or freezer bag and put in the freezer for 1 to 3 hours. You can keep the fruit frozen for 2-3 weeks if you forget about them.

Next, add frozen fruit and milk to blender. I used about a half cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk. I blended for 1-2 minutes using my Ninja Professional.
Tip:
You get to choose the chunkiness or smoothness by blending longer or shorter. If your blender is having trouble breaking the frozen fruit cut it smaller before you freeze it next time. Sometimes adding a splash of extra milk helps blend easier.

Usually, after blending for 2 minutes my blender starts to get warm, melting the ice cream. I throw it in the freezer for an hour or so to firm it up. Then I can scoop it like real ice cream
