Bagel Bites are great but I need a bigger area to layer toppings.
When I was a kid, there was a TV commercial that played around the clock for bagel bites. The song was very catchy.
That commercial was terrible! The next time I was at the grocery store, I was feeling nostalgic and bought a box of pepperoni. When I got home, I dropped them right into the toaster oven, unpacked the grocery trip and with some impeccable timing, the toaster oven bell dinged as I put the last item away.
I burned my mouth on molten hot cheese! The bagel was cool but the cheese was a fire hazard. I cautiously ate the remaining bites and I when I was done, I was still hungry. Of course I only bought one box, so I made my own Bagel Bites that would be meal worthy.

Sometimes that craving has to happen. This looks good 🙂
Mm
Trying to add some smiles during dark times. 👍
Looks delicious.
Simple comfort food much needed during these times.
Did it with an everything bagel the other day with bacon and it was heavenly.
Do good, sometimes I make them veggie or sometimes I pile lunch meat on.
I’ve been using feta bread and other flat bread this way for years. I’ll give the bagel technique a try.
I used to make these years ago! I forgot all about them. Thank you for reminding me!
Delicious 😋😋
