Homemade Dark Chocolate Chip Golden Oreo Cookies are a twist on Cookies N Creme recipe using Golden Oreos and Dark Chocolate Chips.
Dark Chocolate Chip Golden Oreo Cookies are a reverse cookies N creme recipe. When it comes to chocolate my personal favorite is Dark chocolate, and my least favorite is white chocolate. Something about the consistency or maybe its the overly sweet taste, just not a big fan.
When I had a request for Cookies N Creme cookies from my 8 year old, I went to work changing the recipe to not use white chocolate but still make a Cookies N Creme like cookie.
I went to the grocery store to look at the Oreos and baking chocolate for inspiration and it jumped out at me as soon as I entered the cookie aisle. Golden Oreo cookies instead of regular black Oreos and dark chocolate chips in place of white chocolate chips.

Step by Step Instructions:
How to Make Homemade Dark Chocolate Chip Golden Oreo Cookies
First, gather all your ingredients to create the cookies. Preheat oven to 350°F.

Next, add white sugar, light brown sugar, oil, and softened butter.

Next, add 2 eggs to the bowl and beat batter until the egg is mixed through and fluffy. I use a KitchenAid stand mixer.

after that, add the salt, baking powder, baking soda, and vanilla extract and mix through.

Then, add the flour.

Then add 1 cup of dark chocolate chips and set 1/2 cup aside.

Take the 10 Golden Oreos and put them in a resealable bag and crush them with the palm of your hand. Empty the bag into the batter and mix on low with a paddle. The batter will be thick.

Using a cookie scoop or spoon make batter domes, then take the dark chocolate chips you set aside and press 3 chips, pointy end down into each batter dome making the flat end of the chip level with the batter.

Bake for 8-9 minutes at 350°F.

Enjoy!

The Oreo section at the supermarket was crazy. There was so many Oreos I’ve never heard of, I resisted temptation and left with 1 package though. 😋
